AI in our
recruitment process
Our approach is thoughtful, transparent and responsible.
Built by humans - for humans
AI is part of how we work at MONY - and our recruitment process is no different. We use it thoughtfully, transparently, and always with humans firmly in charge of the decisions that mean something.
For example, we often use AI to help draft job recruitment focused content, job descriptions, and interview questions, but every final version is reviewed by a real person in our People Team. All CVs we receive are read by a human, and there’s no automated sifting whatsoever.
But, just like the way we use AI to help build our customer-facing products, we’re human-first… and we always will be.
AI in your application
The best applications are those that reflect your authentic voice, with or without AI assistance. But if you do decide to use AI, we encourage you to use it effectively and responsibly.
Do:
- Use AI to research MONY Group, the role, and prep for interviews.
- Refine your CV or cover letter for clarity, grammar, and structure.
- Use it to practise things like mock interviews, brainstorming, and structuring your thoughts.
- Be upfront about how you've used AI if it's relevant.
Use it as a translation or language aid if you need to, as long as your voice still comes through.
Don't:
- Submit AI-generated content as your own without any personal input.
- Use AI to fabricate or exaggerate your experience or skills.
- Rely on AI during a live interview - we want to hear from you, not it.
- Use AI to complete assessments dishonestly - integrity matters and cheating will disqualify you.
- Use AI in ways that misrepresent who you are or what you can do.
AI in assessments
If you’ve reached this stage, congratulations! We’re excited to learn more about you and explore how your skills, mindset, and energy could help us grow and deliver brilliant experiences for our customers.
This part of the process is a two-way street: it’s your chance to assess whether MONY Group is the right fit for you, and our chance to understand your unique strengths.
Depending on the role, we may ask you to:
- Complete a take-home task
- Join a live scenario session
- Solve a problem during an interview
Whatever the task, it’s fine to use GenAI for grammar, formatting, or structuring your ideas - but the core content should be yours. Ask yourself: would I use this tool day-to-day in this role? If yes, it's probably appropriate. If not, think carefully.
And whatever you submit, be ready to walk us through it. We'll explore your thought process together.
AI in live interviews
Live interviews are your opportunity to show us how you think, communicate, and solve problems. It’s absolutely fine to bring notes or prompts to help you stay focused.
With your permission, we may use AI to transcribe interviews so we can stay focused on the conversation.
However, please don’t use GenAI tools during live conversations. This can disrupt the flow and make it harder for us to connect with the real you.
Put simply, we want to hear your ideas, not AI-generated ones. So let your personality and experience shine through.
Reasonable adjustments
We want every candidate to feel confident, supported and included - and that we’ve treated them fairly. So, before your interview, someone from our TA team will be in touch to check if there's anything we can do to make the experience more comfortable for you.
If you plan to use AI tools - for example, a notetaker during calls - just let your TA contact know ahead of time. We'll make it work.
Need to reach out sooner? Email us at [email protected] - whether it's related to disability, neurodiversity, or anything else, we're here to help.
Accessibility and AI
We’re committed to making our recruitment process inclusive, supportive, and fair for everyone. If you need adjustments that are related to disability, neurodiversity, or personal circumstances, we’re here to help.
Can I use AI tools as part of a reasonable adjustment?
Yes, in many cases. If AI helps you participate more comfortably or effectively, we’re open to it. Just let your TA contact know in advance so we can ensure fairness for all candidates.
Do I need to disclose AI use for accessibility?
Only if it’s used during live interactions or assessments. We encourage transparency so we can support you appropriately and maintain fairness.
What if I’m unsure whether my AI use is appropriate?
Just ask! We’re happy to talk through your needs and help you find a solution that works for you and aligns with our process.
How do I request an adjustment?
A member of our TA team will be in touch before your interview. You can also email us anytime at [email protected].
One last thing…
AI is a powerful tool, but it should support your voice and experience - not replace it. At MONY Group, we’re excited to meet future colleagues who are thoughtful, curious, and above all authentic. So use the AI tools you have at your fingertips wisely, and make sure the way you show up is a true representation of who you are.
Our advice to you:
- Be yourself: Your personality is what sets you apart.
- Use AI wisely: Let it help you prepare, not perform.
- Be transparent: It’s okay to mention AI use when relevant.
- Ask questions: If you’re unsure, ask! We’re here to help.
What we look for most in every role:
- Genuine interest in MONY Group and the role.
- Clear communication and self-awareness.
- Ethical and responsible use of technology.
